The Children's Home Society of Florida began back in 1902, providing a family for children with nowhere else to go. For more than a hundred years, this organization has grown, adopting a "cradle to career" approach and meeting families where they are to provide support and services in an effort to keep them together.
Nearly 100% of families that complete the organization’s voluntary home-visiting early childhood programs remain free from abuse or neglect — and never enter the foster care system.
Thanks to The Children’s Home Society of Florida, more students in marginalized communities graduate high school. More children in foster care find safety and stability. CHS brings stability to hundreds of children each year, with nearly 60% safely reunifying with their families and 40% finding forever through adoption or by joining the family of a relative. CHS provides immediate access to counseling and support for individuals in their greatest time of need. Of youth who participate in our job training program, 81% secure, stable employment, earn their GED or diploma or begin post-secondary education. Beaver Chevrolet will be preparing kits for newborn babies, while Beaver Toyota will provide therapy/self-calm and school hygiene kits for CHS.
